    Default Trump to end DACA

Trump expected to announce end to Obama-era DACA, official says | Fox News
Trump mulling ending DACA, but will make decision with 'big heart,' Pence says - ABC News

It's another hot potato issue: what to do about well settled undocumented people in the US that arrived as children, otherwise known as the 'DREAMers'.
    DREAM Act
Efforts under Dubya and Obama to provide legal status to DREAMers upon certain conditions have failed in Congress. Obama responded by using executive authority to establish the DACA programme that put the DREAMers in the lowest priority for deportation provided they have clean records and other qualifications, basically giving them relief from deportation and a work permit pending a final resolution for them.

During the campaign, Trump told his base that he'd get rid of DACA. He then reversed course after being elected. Now, he's receiving pressure from a coalition of 10 red states that threaten to sue him unless he gets rid of DACA.

Now apparently he will do so, although hinting of some other relief being in order.

Your thoughts for topic discussion as to this decision and what should be done about the DREAMers?

Fantastic news. Another win for President Trump.

Play by the rules or don't come at all.

Since when has the US played by the rules on this topic and overall.

Hardly a win for him too for 2020. Playing hardball on DREAMers won't get him a vote he didn't already get. He won with virtually no cushion to start with and this, along with rakes of other self-inflicted wounds, puts him well underwater unless he provides relief for qualifying DREAMers and otherwise shapes up his act.

    Nonesense.

Trump got more Latino vote than Romney.

And less of the White vote than Romney got too whilst promising to end DACA.

    LOLz.

Real votes by real Americans count, not that of lawless Dreamers and the likes.

It's still debated whether or not he exceeded Romney's horrible numbers with Latinos and appears to be a 'FOX fact', but even if he did for the sake of the argument, it's still a low percent.

First, Flip Flop Mitt opposed any and all relief whatsoever to well settled undocumented and productive immigrants. Trump first supported the DREAMers, then like Flip Flop Mitt as they both flip on a dime when expedient, flip flopped during the campaign to lure in his Bubba supporters. He opposed the DACA method, especially because Obama did it and his Bubbas like yourself are suckers for anything that goes after Obama. He did, however, promise some other kind of unspecified relief for them such as a possible 'flag pole'/'touchback' process for legalisation. Once elected, he flip flopped back again to stick with DACA until the Bubbas in certain red states have now threatened to sue him over that.

Second, HRC lacked credibility with blacks and Latinos over the Clintons' enacting IIRIRA in 1996, the crime bill that increased penalties along with the 'superpredators' remark, and HRC's support for building a wall of sorts (fencing and stuff) along the border. She also was old news and an uninspiring candidate and got major helping hands from Bernie on the left draining off support and Trump getting Putin and the Comey letter to assist him in the end.

Third, Trump also made his usual demagogic Trump University style promises to give everyone jobs, negotiate the best deals, get them the best health care cheaper, make the Rust Belt an industrial powerhouse, and pretty much 72 virgins with grapes in paradise and all that sh!t.

Even then, Flip Flop Mitt did better in the popular vote percent that Comrade Chumpsky did. He barely did better than Dukakis did in 1988 in daddy Bush's EC landslide win. Trump got by with less than 80000 votes in MI, WI and PA to pull off his upset win and was a point victor in FL whilst getting trounced in the popular vote, and that's not mentioning a rake of people that didn't vote for HRC that hated Chump and stayed home, voted down ballot or voted third party or write-ins for Bernie and whatnot.

Given so far he's performed like dogballs and only pleasing dogball Bubba supporters, he's in serious sh!t so far, motivating opposition against him when he had no room for error going forward given his election results.

Glad the news is focusing also on the negative economic impact of targeting the DREAMERs. It's not just mean spirited; it's stupid for self-interest.

Here's how much DACA deportations would cost your state's economy

Big problem is that while technically this is 800,000, in reality with family reunification it's 5 million.
