    Yup. It's a great idea. Are the planes who will patrol to ensure NATO member Turkish planes don't kill all the Kurds going to take off from NATO bases in Turkey?

    Well they have 5000 troops in Iraq and aircraft carriers in the Meditteranean.

    How would ground troops in Iraq help the Kurds in Syria?

    And how would the US organise combat air patrols from aircraft carriers that are over 600 km away?
