Yeah, like the Democratic Republic of Germany was, because the word democratic was in its name!

I'm cynical normally, but this does surprise me. Why the feck would they do this?

Because the media are gullible themselves and repeat ad nauseum everything the US government funded Venezuelan opposition says.

Venezuela has the largest documented oil deposits in the world and Maduro is keeping the oil profits for Venezuelans which many, especially people with VERY deep pockets are very angry about so they want to topple the Venezuelan government. The goverments of the world and the news stations who are either funded by the goverments or are owned/ funded by millionaires have an agenda so you see.

Particularly the Venezuelan children. Is cherishing the children equally a runner outside of this island or is it just that we like waffle?

They should have sent you instead to see what it's really like..

Latin America has never seen a crisis like Venezuela before (washingtonpost)

'A slow-motion catastrophe': on the road in Venezuela, 20 years after Chávez's rise (Guardian)

The latrines at Simón Bolívar international airport in Caracas overflow with urine; the taps are bone dry. In the departures hall, weeping passengers prepare for exile, unsure when they will return.

At customs, a sticker on one x-ray machine warns: “Here you don’t speak badly about Chávez!”

That's the spirit! Attack your own for disagreeing while the gombeans stuff their faces at the trough. There's good reason the left hasn't had much luck in this country, and pious sh1ts who'd better belong in the church would be very much responsible for the rights successful counter revolution in this country.

See you when you put me to the wall comrade.

Well your post #22 seemed to be saying it's democratic because it has loads of oil and the Western media is corrupt. That's not very convincing.

Saying that everything is okay in Venezuela, while media organisations (that most people have some respect for) are saying the opposite, reminds me a bit of your man who was questioning the moon landings.

Venezuela reminds me of Ireland in the 70's and 80's. Economic mess, high emigration, lack of civil liberties (in N.I and ROI) all happened under FFG govt.
