Today Mike Hayes a former PIRA bomb maker has stated in an interview to the BBC that he was involved in the bombings and accepts collective responsibility for the atrocity.
He stated in the interview that he felt justified in his actions as an IRA operative in the UK.
He has said he diffused a third bomb in the city when the full horror of the others was realised. What does he want, thanks and gratitude for diffusing the third bomb!
Hayes also stated that there was no intention by the PIRA to kill anyone. Well I don't know who he expects will believe that part as if an organisation plants bombs in crowded pubs then it's quiet clear that murder is the only objective.

In true IRA style he answered no comment when asked what actual part he played in the attack on the innocent.
He offered his apologies and sympathy to all of those affected by the killings. He said that he hoped God would be merciful and would give them closure.
Surely closure would be found for those relatives if he went to England and took proper responsibility for murdering so many, give full details of what happened, name all the other cowards involved too and face proper justice.

Surely those innocent men that rotted in jail and their families after the British justice system found them guilty must have a huge sense of betrayal and disgust at this guy walking around in freedom while they lost many years of their lives. Between the cowardly IRA and rotten justice system they really suffered.

This kind of guy is a blight on our country, an embarrassment to think he think he actually thought he was killing these people in the name of Ireland.

It's hard to believe a man like this is walking around without any regret and has not faced justice.
If a Muslim extremist carried out this kind of atrocity and reappeared after 40 years would he be walking around?

There are many on this site that will see him as a terrible human being that has never manned up to planting a bomb and running away after killing so many.
Unfortunately there are others that will defend him and see him as a hero

There are a lot of questions that need answering and for justice to be done.
I don't know what to make of this confession, especially under the circumstances that it has come about.

One of the many questions would be - why confess now?

Its clear that the Birmingham Six were stitched up by the British state to protect the real bombers or people close to them. The security state had informers and agents inside the cell that carried out the bombing and protected them by falsely convicting innocent men.

Responsibility for the bombings.
Responsibility for jailing innocent people.

Two different issues.

And SF will never get a vote from me.

Clear?

Couldn't be any clearer Mr. Icke.

He'd be bankrolled, directed and ultimately sanitised for gobshites such as yourself.

Man must be viewed in context, context is scrubbed out of ALL analysis of the actions of Irish Republicans these days. However saying that acts like the Birmingham bombing were the closest the IRA came to actual terrorism during the Troubles.

Hayes is coming acros as an awful tosser! Why did these bombings happen? IIRC re one of the bombings in Britain, a volunteer was speaking about the lad who was charged with giving the warnings, apparently the first phone, he intended to use, outside a pub was vandalised so he had to run like Usain Bolt to the next one, which might have also been vandalised! The so called volunteer speaking about the incident was coming across as claimimg the moral of the story was not to be vandalising phones and not that ass holes shouldn't be planting bombs to kill innocent people!

That would be operationally valid from the point of view of a British Deep State at war with Irish Republicanism.

However it would also be convenient for Irish Republicans too, a case of No True Scotsman.

It's so skewed here, gobshites like that only double down gobbling the likes of the Cruisers balls. Context is obviously important Karloff but this is the last place you'd get it.
