You're a failure :) have some morality. Don't take pay for not doing your job and stop doing the fiddle!
The DUP do not appear to understand how to get along with any nationalist party. SF would like to go back into power but they equally know if they do so they will be destroyed at the next election.

The issue is that the average nationalist do not think that Unionists want or even have a clue about the need to share power.

Just because one Party feels that to govern would lead to future electoral problems, the rest of the country should not be held to ransom. 30% of MLAs are blocking the will of 70%.

The NI Assembly is a failure as structured under the GFA. This needs to be reviewed and restructured or else closed down.
Any changes would have to go to a vote in Northern Ireland. More to the point the UK government is way to preoccupied to have any ability to deal with the matter.

Who gives a stuff. IF you think the sdlp would be in any position to go into power without unionism changing its approach they you are very much mistaken. Around 50% of the people of Northern Ireland did not like the way the assembly was run so its a case of fix it or it can stay broke.

£18m if you include their constituency expenses. Also, the running of the Assembly when it is not sitting is a huge cost for no outcomes. It's a total disgrace and should be closed down now.
"When pressed on which parties objected to cutting MLA pay, Ms Bradley said it would not be appropriate to name parties or individuals."
Which party has the ear of this Tory government?

Wonderful.

£9 million paid to MLA salaries since Stormont collapse | UTV - ITV News

How is this justifiable and why hasn't their pay been stopped?

ah look, the wee bigoted girls are wetting their wee knickers thinking about the oncoming demographics changes ... does the heat good to see the crackpots wilting in the heat

isnt "democracy" a beautiful thing

as for Stormzy being down ... If the DUPlicitous hadnt let wee Seamy Bwyson, the UDA and the OO tell them what to do in February the deal would have been done and the place would have been back up & running.... But sure we all know that £9m is just loose change to the DUPlicitous

You'd be on my ignore list but for the fact you give me laughs now and again.

A minority holding the majority to ransom. Round of applause. Let them keep it running. Nobody likes a bastard that scrounge off the government and doesn't go to work. That'd be what SF/IRA did from 2016 to now.

Actually, that's not true. The GFA and therefor its review and changes to the structures have already been approved by the people of NI.

It is however expedient at the moment for HMG to let this drift and not cause any issue. Doesn't make it the right thing to do though.

That attitude seems to be a nationalist thing, certainly a Shinner thing. Disgraceful, but their prerogative. However, blaming others for not getting your way is just not credible.
