A murdering English knacker living in our midst

Here is a story from West Cork town of Eyerie. A 65 year old murderer on the run from the authorities managed to live for a number of months in a Caravan and drink at the local pub. He seems to have passed himself off as a Yorkshire tourist, his background of dealing with dead bodies all seemingly forgotten.

This would seem to beg a few questions :
- how did he get away with it for so long ?
- how many others with a criminal record from abroad are living among us ?
- what steps should the authorities take/have taken ?
- how do we prevent this kind of thing in future ?

post script. When somebody gets convicted of murder, is it ok to call them an unpleasant name ? or might that hurt their precious little feelings ?

This thread is about Murdering 'undocumented' knackers.....regardless of where they came from.

Do you have proof of both his nationality and his being - in your terms - a "knacker"?

Seems a daft move on his part when he was closing in on his pension age and his early release terms probably weren't that far off from expiring anyway. What was he supposed to do when unable to work for cash in the hand?

It Just shows that our “ Authorities “ have no idea of who is coming into our country .

What actually do our ‘ Authorities “ do or know . They are in office and doing fook all . They are frauds . They are taking our money and doing nothing .

S.O.N has a "penchant for being controversial and attention seeking" and every so often he must start jumping up and down, blowing his horn and wave a red flag to catch attention

if you google the races of humankind you are unlikely to find anything substantial to support your argument. There are knackers of all races, therefore it is not racist.

And regarding labelling this fella a 'knacker' , he was a murderer on the run from his justice obligations living in a Caravan and there was no indication in the article that he recycled his rubbish responsibly. Apologies if a few luvvies on here get offended by an offensive label, he was an offender and deserves derision.

Proof that he was English and a "knacker" (your word) might be a good start to this thread. The caravan doesn't wash.

Hmmmm - his arrest was because he broke parole and left the UK. Any evidence that he was involved in any criminal behaviour while in Ireland?

Not sure why you are making such a big fuss about this, especially in the light of history.
Did the Irish Authorities know that a convicted murderer had come into the country ?

Do they know if convicted Paedophiles are coming into the country ?

The first duty of the Government of a country is to protect the integrity of the borders of that country . This includes knowing if convicted criminals are coming in to the Country they are given the privilege of being in control of .

So it wasn't his being "on the run" after breaking his parole that was the problem, it was because he had been convicted of murder?

If he hadn't broken the terms of his parole he would have been entitled to live elsewhere in the EU?
Perhaps criminals should not be allowed free movement because ....They are Criminals .

For machine washing, that depends on whether it had a roof rack.

The Indo article mentions connections with Yorkshire, that sound English enough ? And equally, irish scumbags living in, say, the Costa del Puke all deserve deporting and putting into a nice cold wet jail in Limerick. They have forfeit the right to fight with Germans over towels and deckchair space at La Piscina. Fair enough ?
