Read that .. not much of a story really.. where's the detail? .. what are you taking from it ?

looks to me to be a pathetic attempt by the DUPs Hamilton to deflect !
Hamilton and his spad are undoubtedly up to their necks in it but this guy O'Muilleor contacted isn't even a spad. Just what exactly is his relationship with SF ministers meant to be ?

Who knows yet! .. he was and maybe still is an adviser of sorts.. from your own link in the newsletter:-

During the Troubles Mr Howell was Sinn Fein’s director of foreign affairs and described by the veteran journalist and author Ed Moloney as “a reticent but enormously influential activist who doubled as chairman of the party’s Think Tank, the body that directed the peace process for the SF leadership”.

Anyway, Hamilton is just doing what the DUP do EVERY time they are caught being incompetent and/or corrupt ... "look over there"

lets focus on the 99%...

SF's " director of foreign affairs " during the troubles.
I wonder if he specialised in Gibraltar ?

Good grief  .... Simon Hamilton "anonymously" leaking emails to his own depts civil servants & the media.. all in an attempt to blame civil servants for RHI instead of the DUP .....

The former minister admits it's "not my proudest moment" and is one of "many things that I regret" doing at the time when the DUP was under huge pressure about the RHI in December 2016 and January 2017.

Inquiry panellist Dame Una O'Brien asks: "[You sent it] to your own permanent secretary anonymously? I just want to be sure I heard that properly."

these people really are a fooking joke ....
Westminster should be paying close attention .

Why dont you try reading your own link ... It says he was heavily involved in the peace process.

but I guess you would rather throw around baseless accusations  .. well done you

btw, Ive never heard of him and know bugger all about him and it seems you are the same .... However, I chose to read the article that YOU linked to, or hearing more about him and/or his involvement here, before making any silly comments .. could you not have done the same .. might be an idea from now on !

maybe when the report comes out.
Westminster knows that the best way to sedate Unionist / Loyalist / Protestant Paddies is too grease their palm with silver . Loyal to the Half Crown so long as the supply keeps rolling in .

It does quite rightly raise the issue of who was in control. We've already seen how much power some of the DUP SPADs had. The idea that elected MLAs appointed as ministers need to seek approval from unelected shadowy characters show how far SF still is from a normal democratic party.

If you know nothing more than what was in today’s newsletter then you are in no position to comment on this ...or do you have inside info on this ?

Otherwise this is just more unionist deflection... again, let’s stick to the 99% ... and to today’s admission by one of the top members of the DUP that he & others had anonymously leaked emails to the NI civil service and media in a disgraceful attempt to deflect attention away from the party ....

And it seems this is continuing in this thread .... quelle surprise :?

More pathetic deflection from unionism by the looks of it, RHI was your baby, deal with the scandal instead of blaming all and sundry for the incompetence and shady schemes your politicos were involved in......end of.

DUP would like to get rid of Hamilton as he is a remainer who obviously embarrasses them, but, they can't, he holds to many aces and his testaments in future down the line court cases could very well be the lethal injection into the arm of the DUP.:whistling:

I don't understand what all the hoo ha is about here. The national renewable energy action plan (centered around wind) is even more ridiculous. All the wind companies are broke.

Yet another lurking in the SF shadows ! Can't be put down to DUP deflection or anything else. Is the "good republican" about to make an appearance in such a role next ?

Why are all these Ministerial meetings and such like not recorded for the accurate record .

From now on they should always be . Its not as if the technology is not there .

Its ridiculous .... fs ye wouldn't run a corner shop without taking minutes of meetings .. its seems that "post it notes" was the order of the day :? .....

but seriously, how could you run "any" business without minutes and "actions" being taken .. its quite remarkable !
