There's a shock.

edit - afaics his tweet claiming they need another 10 bn is not supported by the news item: that says they have lost 13 bn deposits this year. Not the same thing.

The government should have indicated long ago how much they were willing to pump into the banks. As it stands, this can go on for a few more years.."Oh we need another billion", "Oh that billion wasn't enough, give us 5 more".....and on and on and on

And the fupping rest from what I have been told months ago... it is AIB bringing down the Irish banking system all the time.. Anglo was just the sacrificial lamb while they tried to hide the extent of the real problem

There is one very very easy solution to all of this. It is late in the day, but I am afraid it will have to be faced.

€13 bn deposits flow out of AIB

AIB reports e13bn fall in deposits - RT News

Anyone know of any country that has had not one but two runs on its banks in the space of two years?

That is some achievement to have on this government's CV.

That really is the problem. We have no idea what the size of the hole is. I don't even understand how it can be that big.
Until we know what we are dealing with we cannot start to sort it out.

It is gross incompetence on a huge scale and yet most of the people in AIB who made the decisions are still there continuing to make decisions. All senior management from lending executive level up should basically be fired.
