Is this appropriate for a state body? he was repsosible for the deaths of innocent people, will An post balance this stamp with ones for the victims?

Apparently because "he had Irish lineage". Using that logic, here's the next An Post stamp.

Great to see a member of the Irish diaspora on a stamp. And a very distinguished one at that.

Che was and is a hero to the downtrodden around the world. He was also a military genius who was among the leaders who deposed the despotic Batista regime, defeatd a US invasion and blockade and gave the Cuban people back their dignity.

They'll be singing: "Oró Che Guevara Bhaile.." in Kilkee tonight.

To answer your question no its entirely inappropriate Che Guevara was a mass murderer why would anyone in their right mind celebrate him, this is very shameful from An Post i expected much better from them.

Its worth a Euro but if you scratch the surface it is actually valued at ten times that much and noone knows why!
Purchase is by invitation only, and regrets are not acceptable, you can never exhibit it or actually stick it on an envelope, despite the glue being of equine origin.....

He was a murdering scumbag why should he be celebrated, you should be grateful to live in a country where you can enjoy the kind of freedom which was denied to those in the kind of society Guevara was in favour of he and his kind should be discarded in the dustbin of history forever.

And they'll be thinking; "thank fúck I don't have to live there".

Waaaa waaaa go the snowflakes.

He is an icon to millions, has Irish heritage and the image was taken in Shannon. The rest of it is bedwetter noise.

Yeah, cos Castro was such an improvement right ?

The Cubans would have been better off if the Americans had invaded.
