Ok, so all the usual warnings and stuff, it's an unverified twitter account by someone who claims to be a long serving RTE producer. Seeing as it's someone else making the claims, and it's unverified, take with a pinch of salt and enjoy. Read from the bottom seeing as it's twitter.

You'll love this quote then:

2/ the opposite of Logan's Run- there's nobody under 30 in RTE.
FFS, it looks as if the cuts and no hires since the recession have had the opposite of the desired effect in reinforcing the negative culture rather than streamlining it. Shame, as gov could simply restructure hiring practices if it weren't for the unions protecting the old to eat the young.

Its sounds genuine. Especially the bit about the camera men.

Montrose is the Civil Service with cocaine.
Now Sister, I was not surprised you were the first person to like the thread.( indeed Rots had suspected it was you, setting up a false twitter account:shock:) LoL But really have to pull you up on the Montrose comment. Since the sale of the land, money has been put aside for an enhanced rehabilitation unit for staff.....

I'd keep the licence fee but only for independent production companies to enable them to make Irish programmes/films.

Feck sake, 8 million alone is wasted collecting the fee by giving the responsibility to the post office.
