thats not very clear, so the loans were written off first, and then they bought the shares?

That HAS to be illegal.

The fact that these names are being witheld is deeply ominous.

If the government are so scared of these lads and their legal muscle that they cannot even be named, seriously what chance has Nama?

Every hard decision on a ghost estate or mothballed shopping centre in the Bog of Allen will have to be individually assessed for months on end.
"Jaysus Lads that's xxxxxxx, he's lethal, he'll have Arthur Cox up our arse for years, let's just park that one for the moment. Right next one. xxxxxxx and the 300 million he got off AIB for a seven star hotel and country club in the Liberties. Oh crap his brother in law is lead partner in MOP. Next"

Remember the song?
"In the year 2525...."

And in this light of Lenihan indemnifying the directors

Sunday Business Post | Irish Business News

he should be the one strung up by the b*lls and hung outside Leinster House.
How can that possibly be allowed to happen?

We're living in a country that has Socialism for the rich and capitalism for the poor. If you're rich and mess up you get bailed out, both of paying anything yourself or getting prosecuted over it.

What can we do about it?

Do most people really think the answer is to vote for FG?

I think the Irish people are scandaled out at this stage. How often can they show shock and horror when shocking and horrible events are occurring on a near daily basis. The shocking and the horrible has become the norm.

Our libel laws are there to protect the guilty. It has always been so. Which is why the government will never reform them.

The silence from the blueshirts is worrying. See your payslips this month? We are paying for these FF cunts.
As we not own this bank and as we are paying the bill, we should know. Cowen is a bollox, Lenihan is a bollox. Both should be hung.

this is how i feel man.

i really wouldnt put ANYTHING past these criminals now. is anyone truelyl surprised that once again a corrupt political establishment are looking out for the people that fund them ?

does ANYONE REALLY expect the people involved to go to the joy for any of the crimes they commited?

they could turn out to be involved in a international paedophile ring now , funded by the state, and it wouldnt shock me. :(

ive said it before and i'll say it again, theres no rule of law here.

The Irish as a nation are apathetic. Seniors will scream when a medical card is to be taken from them and start a new party. Taxi drivers scream when the free market is opened up. Public sector workers scream when a pension levy is added. All because of the banks, its stems from the banks. All these people are me feiners, the lot of us are.

There has not been one major strike/concern about this in the media and people alike. It's all moaned to your friends/family/internet forums.

Action needs to be taken, this is our future, our quality of life for nearly 2 decades, should this not concern all of us?

The 4 already named did not take legal action. The worrying thing about the whole thing is thats nobody seems to know. Normally in Ireland people would know and the papers would be afraid to print it.

I suppose its been well proven for many centuries that the rich ( kings and queens etc) have always stood high above the poor, its a combination of nepotism-cronyism-and it even connects to the education system.

I believe the new "poor" in Irish society are the middle classes, and these are an educated lot. Its this group who are the ones that can make their voices heard, and who know what this Anglo disaster is all about. I think its bubbling below the surface, this months salary cheque will show the impact of that last budget, clearly there will be more budgets targeting the PAYE sectors and of course businesses that are struggling to keep the doors open.

With the dam slowly starting to burst, and the real scum-bags behind this national scandle leaking into the public knowledge...there will be more then egg throwing done..I think we will see some serious ventilation of public anger at all the protagonists

Oh yes by the way I will be joining them when the revolution starts...
