In my view number 8 is closest to the core ideology of FG although many FG'ers won't admit it cos conservative is a dirty word in Irish politics for some reason!

FG are essentially a conservative party - and there's nought wrong with that.

I think the idea that FG should rename themselves Status Quo (option 10) is superb; after all, they are about as relevant and exciting as those wrinkled rockers, although I doubt that Enda Kenny took quite so much drugs in his youth.

Haha, in fairness I don't think Inda played apartheid-era Sun City either!

Christian Democrat is the closest to what I would allow myself to be branded.

It doesn't work like that. I think NGTR already explained this on another thread. Go read that before you start asking stupid questions.

I am so so sorry Rocky. I have just not read all the threads, I should be ashamed of myself.

You should be sorry.

Christian Democracy is an ideology based on the Christian teachings yet not limited to Christians. It is a perfectly sound ideology based on justice equality of opportunity and the reward for enterprise, it is vast and all encompassing the Belgian Young Christian Democrat President is Muslim for example whilst FG can point towards Alan Shatter.
