Obviously the 2nd. Popularity is fleeting (except for SF) and handling a crisis well rarely leads to long term gains. George Bush was popular after 9/11 and Obama was popular after they got Bin Laden, to say nothing of Churchill who came back from the wilderness to lead his country successfully through WWII and was rejected thereafter. Just shows that Slick Willy was right - its the economy or to be slightly more precise, its my economy.
Tell that to the British, for them it was Brexit.

Good to know that you are the barometer of what is or is not important :)
No, I'm just an adult who chooses what matters to me. ;)

Its probably just sticking in their throats that they now have to shill for FF and their new leader Michael Martin.
In their hearts they know that they've made a huge error , FF are incorrigible.

They were Irish, they were soldiers, they fought in the war. More to the point they died in the war, as they saw it defending Ireland. All the more reason they be commemorated.
Bobby Sands.....Francis Hughes.........Ray McCreesh......

Okay, I can only assume from that post that you don't know the meaning of the word "or", either.

Which is astonishing, really.

Your constant arguing with most posters on this site is tiresome and has been for many years. You offer no insightful thoughts on anything, it is always attack attack attack other posters comments to the point of calling them names or making a skit out of what they said. It isn't clever, it isn't interesting and it isn't in any way enhancing what used to be an insightful and sometimes interesting website.

You really need to mature a bit.

We all saw it, the state of it, Micheal in by the skin of his teeth, cannot fullfil a full term as Taoiseach yet his government can fulfill a full term, hence half Taoiseach.

No other FF leader subjected to this, desperate altogether.
For the third time,

Who told you this?

Who's the other half?

Even FG managed to negotiate a minority government with a Confidence and Supply agreement.

Sewer must be blowing a fuse with the "Half Taoiseach" thingy. Smashes his so-called 100% record and even worse for him is that Martin has another record, the one for electing more FG leaders than any other FF leader AND managed to fully support Leo's term of office AFTER the election was over :ROFLMAO:

It is obviously politically advantageous to ignore the reconciliation involved in the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement.

The fact that it is indefensible in terms of reconciliation in these islands to pour arrogant contempt on fellow citizens does not seem to the bother power mongers in either countries.

The pro-Johnson Brexiteers in the UK and the anti-government people in this republic used that arrogant contempt in general elections in both countries.

Mehole might not be taoiseach for too long. Seems there's a fair few people not happy. The next few months are going to be very interesting.
How long do you think it will be before there's a move? If the F2F polling restarts and shows that the FF support % was underestimated, will that accelerate matters?
