You should stop reading that cargo cultist rag.
Minchin sounds like such a loser. Goes to America with big plans to make it with his musicals and movies. America says meh and closes his shows. Cue typical badmouthing from a bore

kudos to you!

liking the irony, liking the sarcasm, really enjoyed the fishslap delivery (couldn't use the correct phrase but ya get the drift)

Staying away from the obvious Wagless pun nailed it my friend!

Not so simple. Clinton in 92 and Nixon in 68 ran in a field with a strong 3rd party candidate - Perot and Wallace respectively. Both Dem and Rep were therefore down a lot in those years. For a straight two-way fight (ignore the attention-seeking Stein) Trump's popular vote is low, though perfectly valid.

I remember all the Hill shills before the election telling us she might lose the popular vote but is nailed down for an electoral college triumph. Remember all that talk about the "path" to the White House, and how precarious Trump's was??

Except it wasn't "Hill Shills" who were talking about electoral college obstacles in the Republican path to the White House; it was the rightist Republicans themselves, when they thought they were going to lose.
