I wonder if posters would be interested in posting words and expressions that were once common but have fallen into disuse

Old dublin word for the cops.
Eg.I got grabbed by the fuzz.

It also meant pubic hair so many double entendres occurred.

Thats awful.
Brendan Behan used it and it is not nice.A Dublin expression I believe

The nicest interpretation is that "youve made a right mess of things.!"


If thats happening you try Mozart.He will keep you right.
Those mad rockers you refferred to might cause you suffering.

I don't think it was uniquely Dublin, or Irish:
