US and Saudi Arabia are about to start a huge Military Exercise in Northern Jordan called Friendship Military Exercises 2018, a similar US-Israel exercise is taking place at same time.

Coincidentally US/Saudi/Jordanian supported Fundamentalist forces are massing near Daraa in an attempt to relieve pressure of Eastern Ghouta which Syrian Forces are about to fully liberate.

Russia has pretty much destroyed Wests plans for regime change and West knows it.
After Eastern Ghouta is fully liberated there will be thousands more battle experienced military ready to cleanse the rest of their country of the head hackers.

Wondering if Saudi visit last week was to buy UK support for a Middle East war, demanded by Israel scared of Iran threat.

You should start a thread on a loon infested obscure Irish ‘political’ website and ask said loons.

Only then you will find all the answers.

Syria has proved that Blair and Bush were right to topple Saddam.

Pity they did not rock into Damascus at the time and removed the Assadist tyranny.

It would have saved a lot of lives, would have prevented the humanitarian catastrophe in Syria and would have averted the need for refugees to flock into neighbouring countries and onwards to Europe.

Hindsight, eh?

You'd have been volunteering for the front line presumably, along with everyone on here in favour of something similar?

Or would it have been teenagers from Manchester, Liverpool and Glasgow instead? Along with those Black and Latino lads from Chicago and LA that neoliberals warmongers pretend to care about.

The USA has already invaded Syria has armed and provided cover for ISIS.

Amazing how the West presents that ISIS are the good guys in this fight to overthrow the democratically elected Assad. Hope Russia directly intervenes and vapourises the lot of them.

VVP is an absolute hero.

Power hungry madmen like Bush n Blair transfer trillions from the US worker to their arms dealing friends, and bomb the sh1t out of defenceless 3rd world countries and you think these war criminals should do more of the same?

Not impossible by any means

- the KSA wants to whack Hezbollah which they see as an Iranian proxy

- the US would get a lot more conventional forces into the fray

- and of course Israel always likes to whack the Assad....

Interesting times ahead perhaps....

To coin a phrase, the Saudi "army" couldn't beat the tinkers out of Galway - whatever the Middle East version of tinkers and Galway is.

So, no, they're not going to invade Syria; they're too busy starving Yemen while getting beaten up by a rag-tag militia there.

The WaPo did an article on Jared's real estate investments that indicate that the last thing Jared needs is a loan.

If true, then it implies that Jared needs a yacht.

It's the campaign season over there

I expected things to kick off in February TBH

The Saudis were looking at two options

War against Iran in the Gulf

- or crush Hezbollah

One way another the US would have to be on board

- we shall see....

Well, you hardly expect the Saudis to try it on their own.

I don't know if they will but it's worth recalling that anyone who wants to hit Iran has a window as long as the Trump presidency. If John kerry or Joe Biden wad theoretically elected in 2020 the world would be a different place.

Cough, Yemen.

The Saudis need to have someone who can fight.
