Perhaps this should be in the education and science Forum, but I cannot deny my Northern Brethren their place in the scientific sun..

An 84-year-old man admitted to hospital in Northern Ireland was found to have a huge, air-filled cavity in his right frontal lobe...... While the brain scan images appear as though a hunk of the brain has disappeared, Brown said that wasn’t the case; rather, the air cavity had compressed the brain.

CT and MRI scans showed a 9cm cavity in the man’s right frontal lobe.
