Like them or love them:

'The Progressive Democrats'

Who doesn't want to be progressive?

Who doesn't want to be democratic? (Except Sinn Fein IRA).

Well done Dessie.

Fianna Fail...just roles off the tounge. If Dev had chosen Fine Gael as the name for his new party, Berties crowd would be known as a bunch of stuffy upper-middle class types.
Sinn Fein is too abrasive.
There is something pathetic about Labour
Fine Gael. Not bad when pronounced Fyne Gael.
Greens. Bland
Progressive Democrats. Stuffy, austere, presbyterian.

New Agenda.
Anyone remember that one?
Also, Sinn-Fein-The-Workers-Party.
Worth it, if only to hear Joe Sherlock keep saying it in a strong Cork accent long after the SF bit was dropped.

Okay, this is French politics. Anyhoo, Fillon doesn't accept the result of the recent UMP leadership election and the party has split with the ex-PM leading his supporters into another party called Rassemblement-UMP aka RUMP.

BBC News - France politics: UMP party splits in parliament

Un bon début, Mr Fillon!
