A couple of years ago myself and a mate of mine made what we thought was the best sandwich in the world , while drunk. It consisted of the White whippersnapper bread, cheese coleslaw, deli style ham, sliced cheddar and a packet of Tayto. However this afternoon my attention was drawn to an even better sandwich. It consisted of fresh chicken breast, fresh soda bread melted cheese, a little bit of flora and .....BBQ Sauce, to die for! Anyone have any better suggestions?

I wouldn't be the most health conscious guy in the world, but mayo always seems like something that's going to kill anyone who eats it. Lethal stuff.

For me: White Brennans bread, Kilmeaden chedder cheese (Sliced) tomato, cucumber, English mustard and turkey.

Failing that, brown soda bread, smoked salmon, flora, prawns. Open faced. Yum.

Mustard is evil stuff! I gag on it everytime ! Would replace the mustard (surprise surprise) garlic mayo (low fat garlic mayo!)

Has to be a blaa (from Waterford!) and any filling of your choice. Be it rashers, sausages, both; cheese; banana - anything.

Fresh baked Granary loaf

sweet relish on one slice
light spread of mayo on the other

pickled cucumber slices
cheddar cheese flakes
tomato
lots of green butterhead lettuce, iceberg sucks
honeybaked ham
turkey slices

all available from the wholy grain in Washington St. Cork

my own DIY favourite:
mc cambridges bread
relish
light mayo
cheddar
fresh ground black pepper
golden linseed sprinkled
tomato
ham
butterhead lettuce

almost impossible to fit between the two small slices but worth it.

I don't know why you have to spoil such lovely ingredients with slices of rotten corpses!

Granary warm bread roll, buttered, sage and onion stuffing, lettuce. Gorgeous.
