'Flush Your iPhone down the loo': The Minute This Scandal Became a Netanyahu Bribery Case
Details of the intrigue that led police to recommend indictments against the prime minister and his wife.

'Flush your iPhone': The minute this scandal became a Netanyahu bribery case - Israel News - Haaretz.com

On December 27, 2016, Nir Hefetz, the media adviser of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara, arrived at the home of Shaul Elovitch, controlling shareholder of the Israeli telecommunication company Bezeq.

Hefetz's motives for initiating the urgent meeting were dark: To obstruct the undercover investigation against the prime minister and destroy significant evidence.
The day before that meeting, Haaretz had reported that Netanyahu was a suspect in two secret cases, without listing the precise allegations.

On the night of the meeting, immediately after Hefetz left Elovitch’s home, Ilan Yeshua, the CEO of the Walla News site of which Elovitch is also a controlling shareholder, was summoned to the house.

Elovitch and his wife Iris were waiting for Yeshua. They looked frightened.

According to the evidence the police had gathered in the case, dubbed Case 4000, Elovitch told Yeshua that the terrified Hefetz had asked to meet with Elovitch urgently, came to his home and told him that at the prime minister’s residence it was believed that the two secret affairs the police were investigating involved Netanyahu’s connections with two wealthy men: Australian billionaire James Packer and Elovitch.

Yeshua was to take personal responsibility for slanting coverage on the Walla news site to benefit the Netanyahus and to tell investigators that Elovitch never demanded anything like that of him, nor did Elovitch interfere in journalistic content. Elovitch told Yeshua that he and Hefetz had agreed to destroy the suspicious text messages they had exchanged and that Elovitch then demanded that Yeshua delete all incendiary material from his cellphone right on the spot.

In a scene that seemed taken from a film noire production, Elovitch, according to the evidence the police have, told Yeshua: “Throw your phone down the toilet.”

“Yeshua, who had served Elovitch’s interests for years, realized that he was entering very dangerous territory,” a legal source familiar with the details of the investigation told Haaretz.

“He promised Elovitch that he would delete all the incriminating correspondence between them, but begged Elovitch to allow him not to do it right then and there,” the source told Haaretz. “A real struggle developed and at the end Yeshua managed to get away on the pretext that his phone contained pictures of his family that were very close to his heart. He promised to destroy everything after he copied the photos onto his computer. It was very hard for him to get out of there with the explosive material. The next day, Yeshua met with his lawyers and told them about the incident. The report was written down and is considered very strong evidence.”

The first person to start using the terms Judeo-Nazi and Zionist Nazi was Professor Yeshayahu Leibowitz who when the Israeli state started out was it's intellectual poster boy (in all justice to it he was an incredible genius in several fields), they even used to broadcast his lectures on various subjects on army radio. He died in 1994 and by that time he was calling on people in the IDF to desert. Things now are far worse in Israel/Palestine and I doubt he could have imagined the ethical Shoah that Jews are undergoing there. So according to the neurotic Jewish supremacists' who created that lengthy definition of anti-Semitism which is a phenomena which you only need a sentence to define if you are being rational and honest the second greatest Modern Orthodox theologian after Rav Joseph Soloveitchik was an anti-Semite. Why do you as a Goy indulge these creatures?

Actually I would say that contemporary Israeli Jewish society is worse than Germany society under the Hitler regime because for one Israel within the green line is a democracy, something like 94 per cent of Jews in Israel/Palestine fully endorsed Operation Cast Lead while I doubt very much the majority of Germans would have approved what was going on in the camps if they knew and most certainly Germans did not gather on hills outside of Auschwitz drinking beer while getting sadistic kicks out of what was going on there like Israeli Jews did during Operation Castlead.

I am sure that they did. Yahya Sinwar who now has the whip hand in Hamas is unlike some of their other senior figures in the past a man of incredible ethical will. He embodies all that is finest in Islamic manhood and has made it clear that he will die with his people in Gaza

You endorse and justify the murder of innocent people, including thousands of innocent children.

You call for ethnic cleansing and genocide.

You have lost the right to get upset by name calling.

It is like someone who relentlessly advocates on behalf of ISIS, and endorses and justifies all the killing of innocent people the do, got upset if someone made an Islamophobic comment, which the like of you do on a daily basis when calling for the ethnic cleansing of Muslims world wide.

I don't endorse racist comments but certain groups of people long ago gave up the right to be offended by name calling, especially when they celebrate children being murdered.

Netanyahu is a fascist and racist.... whose many corruption charges and other crimes are only matched by the number of ministries he holds.....and he will almost surely be re-elected in April.
That truly reflects the israeli society today.

After after a Facebook video by Netanyahu pleading with israelis to view any indictment against him to be illegitimate if it occurs before the election....a former vice president of israel's Supreme Court compares Netanyahu to a Mafia boss.....he is right of course.

Bibi is no more and no less racist than the Zionist Union and even much of Meretz, and even wager that when it comes to the Mizrahim he is significantly less racist very possibly than Tzipi Livni. He is not though a Fascist at least as far as Jews are concerned. There are people incredibly more brutal, supremacist and cruel than Bibi who is basically venially primarily concerned with feathering his own nest with Zionist politics. Even if the Zionist Union make a surprise win they will be desperate to prove that they can are as tough or even tougher than the Right on the indigenous population. Better a common or garden greedy little thug than a possibly clinically insane Theocrat, a bloody thirsty racial supremacist or an insecure Tel Aviv "Liberal" eager to prove that they can be as murderously vicious as anyone with a Jabotinsky portrait in their dinning room.

After Bibi goes things will go from almost unbelievably bad to terrifying worse than that.

You are some frier of a Goy you know that? The person who coined the phrases Judeo-Nazi and Zionist Nazi was Professor Yeshayahu Leibowitz a brilliant Jewish scientist, philosopher and theologian who spent most of his life in Israel/Palestine- and he didn't just use the terms in reference to the Gush and Kach. He died in 1994 and things have gotten a lot worse since than. Also the Maximalist wing of the Revisionist movement (Revisionist Zionism today is primarily represented by Likud) was open in it's admiration for Hitler. That working definition of Antisemitism by the way has been endorsed by Rabbi Jonathan Sack who led a march chanting "Death to Arabs!" and very possibly also "Gas the Arabs!" ("Gas the Arabs!" is a Kahanist slogan increasing popular in Israel/Palestine- there is even a famous film about the conflict entitled "Gas the Arabs!") through an indigenous Palestinian neighbourhood in Jerusalem- talk about going full on Judeo-Nazi!

When Israel demands other countries pass working definitions they support and tries to remove the leader of the UK Labour party, it undermines the argument that claims of such behaviours are "tropes" or "stereotypes". It doesnt the Diasporal Jews no favours.

Mr Netanyahu may have a hard time alleging anti-semitism on this one. Although instinct tells me he'll probably try. While Mrs Netanhayu necks another pizza courtesy of the taxpayer.

Neti the Elephant.
