It seems this trollery is all part of some doomed attempt to prove that loyalists are not sectarian, an attmept that even a cursory examination of the activities of mid-Ulster UVF (and later the LVF) will dispel.
It's a tribal conflict. Sectarian markers only provide a rough guide, it's got nothing to do with religion per se...

Their current leader in Lurgan was certainly active in 1999, so there is a pretty good chance at least one Catholic was involved. There are some very bad Catholics about.
What has that got to do with the price of eggs?

The Salwa Judum who are on the frontline in the fight against the People's war in India are mostly recruited from the lower castes...infact the majiority of them of Dalits (untouchables) themselves. 30 to 20 per cent of the Black and Tans were "Cafaflick" Irish men....The overwhelming majiority of the UDA/UVF/RHC/UFF were Irish. British Imperialism uses sectarianism in Ireland to prop up its occupation but that doesnt mean that it itself has been essentially sectarian since at the latest the so-called "Holy Alliance" against Republican France and later Napolaen (pardon my spelling but you know who I mean)....Which makes its use of sectarian hysteria in Ireland all the more disgusting.

And the Copts! Don't forget the Coptic UDA commander.

Coptic Church
Most Copts are the sweetest people you could ever meet (though they are usually what would be consider "homophobic" to a mad degree)...They suffer awful religious persectution in Egypt....That scumbag in no way represents them in general or their community in Ireland.

Fascinating SS, but if you had bothered to wade through the thread you would have seen the it's Border Rat who was engaging in sectarian lies and slander, blaming Protestants for the crimes of Catholics.

Coptic Church
The Copts and other Churches in Communion with them who rejected in the Council of Chalcedon have suffered severe persectution from the 5 th century onwards by Eastern Roman Empire, Islam and than others, yet many, many of them of strict pacifists. They do tend to be politically and economically very progressive even though they are very socially conservative. They are overwhelming very, very good people....I doubt the guy you are bringing up has been to Church in yonks...He certainly is NOT representive of them.

Well Unionists didnt particularly care that John-Longely a non-physical force Republican was a member of the Church of Ireland when they murdered him (yes murdered as he wasnt involved in either the IRA, INLA or even SF and or the IRSP). There are English Roman Catholic families you know with strong traditions in the BA.

Yet again a thread gets relentlessly dragged off-topic and there's not a moderator around!

Well SS, in fairness it had been dragged off topic by the time you showed up.

Any thoughts on the life and death of Billy Wright?

Well I heard that he had been abused at Kincora as a child or young teen...How much truth is there in that?

Whats amazing is the willingness of a majior Unionist politican to share a platform with him...And the amount of people that turned out to his funeral....

Also the willingness of the Orange Order to allow him to continue on as a member for so long...You would think they had some sense of "Public Image" even if not of decency.

The hero's welcome he and Swinger recieved at Drumcree, the turnout he got at his support rally featuring (Willie McCrea) after he wqs booted out from the UVF and the turnout for his funeral show that plenty of good UUP and DUP voting Ulster folk were admirers of the UVF/LVF.

I don't know if he was actually a member of the OO. Let's just say they were more than happy to have his support.

True....But being so public about it is another matter...A bit removed from the usual nudge-nudge, wink-wink....

Is their evidence of child abuse in his past?

If a picture existed of King Rat wearing a sash you would have already seen it a zillion times.
