Blue Blistering Barnacles!- final major artwork by Tintin creator Hergé will sell 4A Fortune!

The final major artwork by Tintin creator Hergé will be auctioned in Belgium next month and is expected to sell for a huge sum.

The sketch formed the basis of a major mural in the Brussels metro station of Stockel and features many of the most beloved characters from the iconic series of comic strips featuring the intrepid Belgian journalist.

I must say I always loved Tintin as a kid - and still do

What a way to escape from the daily woes of being a school kid!

In fact if was rating Happy Moments in my Life

- then reading those books was one of my great pleasures!:D

Does anyone else have Happy memories of them too?

In reality, Chechen gangsters would have cut off Tin Tins thumbs and fed them to his dog.

It was all a bit far fetched to be honest.

As a kid the artwork in Tintin was of a higher quality to what was available in other mainstream comics. Oh, how I gazed...

But as soon as I discovered 2000AD, Tintin was relegated to the shadows.. poor kid... hope he's alright.

You actually think about Harry Potter?
My middle daughter was obsessed with ol' Harry. I thought it was a bit far fetched, especially the Quiddich.
