Rots father was from Rathkeale,:shock: so knew the town back in childhood. One great ancedote often repeated to me, was that Churchill drove through the Town on the way to Foynes during the war ( it was probably Churchill's double now that I have seen "The Eagle has Landed" :rolleyes:

SLF were great weren't they? One of the best.

(Of course me being a teenager at the time may have something to do with how fondly I remember all those groups. Anyone remember the Moondogs? Back in the day when the Undertones were about to make it big (-ish) they used to play support at their gigs. Local ones anyway, I think they got left behind once John Peel started playing Undertones stuff.)
