Primary school children as young as six years old have been subjected to sectarian abuse in West Belfast...

members of the Boys Brigade were subject to "appalling" sectarian abuse while parading in west Belfast.

The parade, comprised of mostly of primary school age boys in the 17th Belfast Boys Brigade Company - some as young as 6 years old - left St John's Church of Ireland on Belfast's Stewartstown Road on Sunday morning to walk the 200 yards

Alderman Kingston said he was "disgusted" to learn of the abuse.
He said that those who took part are a "disgrace and should be ashamed of themselves

"It was disgusting, just disgusting," furious dad Steve Bradshaw said last night.

"People need to grow up. These are just little children. The noise and the yelling was really frightening for them.

Perhaps Jude will be along to tell everyone it's ok to abuse the BB...

“The Northern Ireland district of the Boys Brigade is deeply saddened by remarks made on social media by Jude Collins. Many of his comments about the organisation are factually inaccurate.

“The Boys Brigade is a Christian organisation. It is non-sectarian and it is non-political. It exists to further the Christian faith and to enrich the lives of boys and young men with a wide range of activities.

So I take it from that flippant remark that it is'OK to abuse them because they march on Queens highway.
It's that sort of intolerance that is prominent within nationalism that inflamed the bigotry and sectarianism.

Its not ok to abuse anyone.

Its also not ok to put children in the way of harm! What the hell was the leaders doing making children march on roads??? If they wanted to march 200 yards do it in a park!!

I'm sure you don t feel the same way about kids on the roads on St Patrick's day.
I wonder why that might be.

They weren't in harm's way on the roads, they were just suffering from abuse from intolerable nationalists.

I think that St Patricks day parade should be held in such a way that they disturb other people going about their business in as little a way as possible.

This parade lasted the length of 2 football pitches!!!!!!!!

Thank you TB, excellent example of what I pointed out in #3 regarding selective outrage.

I wonder would the creator of this thread have posted a thread about those little girls at Holy Cross?

Their leaders took their children into a situation which had a great chance of causing trouble.
Marching the length of two football pitches was hardly putting anyone out, maybe hold them up for five minutes.
If only nationalists were more tolerant and less abusive and sectarian.
This is the kind of abusive behaviour that is propagated by nationalist Gaa role models roaring abuse at matching prod teenage girls and mot being properly punished.

Well it is good to hear your view on the matter.

The Boys Brigade is a "Christian organisation" and as such their actions are all the more shocking.

Yes,
Indeed another good, honest, decent marching christian organisation.
The rampant sectarianism and bigotry on show by nationalists highlights why Gaara role models roaring abuse at prod teenage girls should have been properly punished.

Don't forget the Spanish inquisition!

Do you agree that GaaRa role models shouting abuse at marching Prod teenage girls would have been an aggravating factor in these nationalist roaring abuse at prod children.
