The Brexit seems to have been unexpected amongst the Smuggerati on P.ie and more importantly among the poltiical classes both here and in the EU. Juncker has been seen to exceed his authority and has become a major liability for the EU. ( http://www.politics.ie/forum/eu/248748-juncker-drunk.html ). One of the biggest German newspapers, Die Welt, now seems to consider Merkel as a liability for her part in Brexit.

Brexit: Die Briten haben auch Merkel abgewählt - DIE WELT

Perhaps Brexit needs a scapegoat on the EU side and the most obvious is Juncker. What are the chances that he will be dumped to save Merkel?

Junky is delighted, what better place than Luxembourg to relocate your London based financial ponzi business?

And if there area more whistleblowers and disclosures about dodgy Luxembourg deals? Could it cause problems with that scenario? And wouldn't London be outside EU regulation?

London will stay dodgy HQ but this time no strings attached. liberal market agenda on steroids again. The city will go into overdrive but must further weaken EU powers to launch better investment traps in Europe.

I think Merkel should go before Junker.
The UK was always close to 50/50 when it came to the EU, but when she unilaterally flung open Europe's borders, thereby sending a flood of unwanted immigrants to the UK, it only served to reinforce to the average Brit how helpless they were.

And her actions have resulted in the same feelings in numerous other EU member states.

The EU is now playing a life or death game of whack-a-mole in hammering down the various calls from other countries for their own IN/OUT referendum.
