Listened to the last minute or so of his interview again – he is interchanging the figure 30 billion with 34 billion, also can't make out when he is saying million or billion, basing interest payments on no clear figure at all and just basically making no sense when you try to analysis what he is saying – I've listened to it three times now an don't think it makes logic – God knows for the rest of his crap talk

Can anyone tell me is he making sense in that last minute?

After the hangover interview and the failure of FF to act, and the poll figures today, it is clear that being inarticulate and un-communicative on the matter of committing a few annual health service budgets to bailing out a casino is an acceptable performance for one of the best paid heads odf state in the world.

We get the government we deserve it seems..

For a model interview technique you need look no further than the job Seán O'Rourke did this lunchtime on Patrick Honohan and Brian Cowen.

Indeed.. Cowen's performance was worse that useless.. he was sober but he was useless

"I take responsibility for my reponsibilities but.... " followed by a load of verbage about how it's not his fault.. global crisis etc etc..

We should be ashamed to have him as our leader.

He can talk a lot but says nothing.

By the way, was I dreaming or did Conor Lenihan say "going forward, going forward" the other day?

Wouldn't blame Brian Cowen if we discovered he carried a hipflask. I'd probably do the same if I'd screwed up as badly

He's actually very difficult to understand on the radio now.

How do the foreigners, which, i assume he talks to in other countries understand him if his own citizens can't make out what he's saying.

I would have to question his mental soundness after that interview. He was all over the place, just rambling like an old man rocking back and forth on his chair.

Can see where you are coming from, a couple of german MEP'S wanted an English translater for Charlie Mcreevy, we don't have the best orators at times.

That man never makes sense. Its the same anal retentive phrases repeated over. and over. and over. A fool of the highest order along with spoofer Lenihan. But they've plenty of company in FF/Greens at least. Just look at gormless.

He sounds to be acting just like Gordon Brown before he was booted out. Mind you, rumour has it that GB was taking anti depressants...

On behalf of Joe Duffy, I demand an apology!

We're F'ed. When our politicans areall running around like headless chickens trying to figure out whats going on, we're doomed. Brian Lehinan on this morning kept repeating the word "data". 'we have to look at the data", "we need to examine the "data"". Pity they didn't do that earlier.

Did I hear him say "I am responsible for my responsibility?"

He was sober but... is he all there?

Again, look at his record over the decades.
Name an achievement of note from him.
He regurgitates whatever shyte his handlers/civil servants prepare for him.
Fine in better times but now he has to come with answers, real ones.
And he is totally incapable of that.
