Jamie Bryson, leading figure in the Loyalist flag protests, who was arrested last week, went on Hunger Strike on the same date Bobby Sands began his.. but called it off after 2 days... looks like he wanted a chicken supper :)

Really Jamie.. did you want to make yourself look even more stupid ?

Class, that'll shut up the loony brigade, any time they start making jokes about Maze slimming clubs etc we can just sneer "Wee Jamie Bryson, 2 days".

These "Loyalist Backlashes" have been getting gradually more pathetic throughout my lifetime. Hasn't been one that was genuinely threatening since 1974, all the rest have been varying shades of absurd.

Those loyalists aren't as hardcore as republicans when it comes to hunger strikes.

What's this thread doing out in the real world? No doubt, the mods will see it off shortly.

This is the clown who claimed that Loyalist terrorists weren't actually terrorists. No wonder he gets along with Willie Frazer. In fairness, Bryson made the point that republicans don't consider any IRA members to be terrorists, but that doesn't mean they're correct.

One wonders how many unionists secretly share Bryson's views regarding the UVF, UDA, RHD...

At least he still used the toilet- and still kept some semblance of self respect.
Only in Northern Ireland can the length of time spent on Hunger strike be termed a failure.

When you commit to something like a hunger strike, lasting two days is an absolute embarrassment.

It shows that he lacks conviction, determination and bravery.

Hopefully he will get a conviction soon.
