So, Budget Day is approaching once again, what do people think will happen/what would you like to see?

Here are my early thoughts:

Income tax, cut off points to go up €500 across the board. No changes to rates or credits
USC No change
PRSI No Change

Social Welfare

OAP up €5 pw. No increases in other payments

Vat Rates to remain the same

Tax Increases:

10c on 20 cigarettes
5c on Beer/spirits
3-dc per litre on fuel allegedly to promote switching to electric cars
some tweak to betting tax " to tackle the scourge of on-line gambling"

Overall not much to look forward to. What are other people's feelings?

We are net contributors to the EU these days.

That will have to grow with Brexit.
