Today's Tribune reports that , according to his secretary , he's " too busy " to deal with the matter. Next time you're threatened with prosecution about your tv licence or car tax , use the Callelly defence. It seems to have worked so far for him :
Callely 'too busy' to pay Transport back

Why is he still a senator? I swear there just seems to be a deluge of these awful stories lately.

It's interesting to read that Dempsey's private secretary wasn't very happy with the public being told that Callely had been paid on the double.

This is the same biddy who wouldn't tell Ken Foxe the names of the two birds who were on The Trim Tosser's London junket.

Her commitment to the principle of Freedom of Information must be almost as enthusiastic as Bozo's is to the moral requirement for Government Ministers to tell the truth.

Surprise, surprise.
Fagan Ahearn and Fingers Fingleton taught this generation of light fingered Fianna Failers well.

Callely's probably broke IMO.

Callely can only be inches away from AIB starting Judgment proceedings against him, doubt if there is a bank in Irl who would touch him, he is probably at the Ahern trick of cashing his cheques down at the pub or maybe through the wife's hairdressing salon, so she can get a cut.

The Dept should take no shlte from him and deduct from his next salary or expense claim, why wait he could be out of a job very soon, its not like the monies owed are in doubt.

I'm glad someone brought this bum back up. We need reminding of FF's behaviour, as their members are so dodgy, that one begins to forget individual cases.

He actually had the audacity to make a speech in the Seanad this week complaining about the Seanad committee that investigated his conduct completely ignoring the Cathaoirleach who continuosly ruled him out of order. I disagree with FG's plan to abolish the Seanad but its hard to defend it as an institution with members like him fuelled by pure self-interest.

Like the developers and bankers he is not being pursued in any meaningful fashion. I sadly noted that the Dunner like Drumm is living in a palace Stateside. No accountability as usual.

Wonder who is picking up his legal fees at the moment, no doubt he has found a way to make the public purse pay.

Callelly is nothing more than a self centered, arrogant, profiteering, money grabbing, scamming b*****d like the majority of those in Leinster House!!! He should be locked up!!!
