News just breaking from Libya.

'France's embassy in Libya was hit by what appeared to be a car bomb on Tuesday, injuring two guards in the first such attack in the capital Tripoli since the end of the 2011 war that ousted Muammar Gaddafi.'

This is an disturbing and yet interesting development in Libya, considering the French were instrumental in the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi.

France was one of the countries that aided the rebels during the insurrection in Libya. Nice way for them to be repaid - not!

Quite possibly. The crazed leaders of Europe these days, with their priorities all screwed up!

Anothe episode of utter stupidity by Sarkozy that is backfiring in a brutal fashion.

But hey....the Chinese oil companies got kicked out, and the French oil sector got to move in. A (hollow) corporate victory.

This attack is apparently in retaliation for the French action in Mali.

At least the oil will be privatised, that is all that matters. Remember, the French are one of the biggest buyers of Libyan oil - they were certainly not helping the Libyan people.

Silly Gaddafi, thinking that he could use the oil money to raise Libyan living standards to the highest in the whole continent instead of letting foreign multinationals scavenge it.

Being in the EU means that war will become a fact of life for Ireland. This is just the opening set of moves.

I'm sure that most Malians and Libyans hate the French for whacking the mad Islamist rebels (Mali) and the mad non-Islamist dictator Libya.

They'd far rather have the mad Islamist rebels (Mali) and the mad non-Islamist dictator back.

Really, I know that I would hate to have a very slightly civilized Govt when I could have mad Islamist rebels (Mali) or a mad non-Islamist dictator running my country.

(not)..

Idiots...

The French are out of control. They have been involved in armed conflicts in 3 different African countries in the last 4 years and now they want to get their claws into Syria. Mali, Chad and Syria are also former French colonies. These all appear to be wars for the future of French energy. Chad and Mali are needed for uranium for the French nuclear industry and Libya and Syria are capable of meeting all of France's petroleum needs. Imperialist bastards. But sure all the French have to say is that these wars are about freedom, democracy and rights for women and all the morons will go along with it.

The French and British were behind this

Beckons?

Doorstep of France?

Ireland changed its laws to bring in drastic penalties for blasphemy and Britain cannot deport radical Immams promoting Jihad.

Everywhere in Europe that Islam has taken any kind of root is experiencing problems associated with potential extremist religious threats and violence.

Europes kleptocratic politicians have essentially shown themselves to be afraid of these threats by the legal appeasements shown to radical Islam in Ireland and elsewhere.

A kleptocratic politician will sell anything and everything for the soft life based on easy and plentiful money.

Yes, this would appear to be the case.
Libyan people are outraged by this attack. As they were by the recent alcohol poisoning incident which left over a hundred dead,
Alcohol poisoning deaths hit 101 | Libya Herald

There is no appetite for Islamic extremism in Libya. People want material improvements in their lives and appear to be patient for it to happen.

I'm so pleased to read that you disapprove of legislating against blasphemy.

I presume that that extends to all religions.
