These Chopped salad bars have been cropping up everywhere in the last year or two. I've had it a few times now and wondering what people think of it?

On the plus side, I've found the ingredients to be good quality (e.g. proper chicken breast, fresh veg), the stores I've been to are bright and clean.

It is a bit pricey for me to have every day (at 7 euro for a standard bowl, and 50c for each extra filling), but it's fine as an occasional lunch option. It can also be very slow at lunchtimes, the pre order app comes in handy for this. Sometimes they skimp a little on the fillings too.

I find it very good and like the fact that you can customise your own bowl.

The chopped salad bars are all the rage in the US for a few years now.

Even the ones that didn't specialize in salad now offer to chop it for you.

I do like them though.

Lunch is for wimps.
In another thread the same snowflake admitted to eating a granola bar for breakfast.

Snowflake liberal has a granola bar for breakfast and a salad bowl for lunch.

I reckon he smells like flowery perfume.

Yeah, 7 quid for a bowl of something you could knock together at home in about 5 minutes of less.

Genius business idea though.

I find it very good and like the fact that you can customise your own bowl.
Seriously? You like the fact that you have a say in the thing you are buying?

I like supermarkets because I can customise my own basket - sometimes I decide against something and put it back on the shelf - no surcharge!
