With Winter just around the corner I thought it would be interesting to talk about comfort foods.

For me:

Shepherd's pie with salad
Fish Pie with Salad
Mac and cheese
Sausages, salad and mash.
Thick pea and ham soup and fresh bread.

Chili con carne - or variants - with pitta bread and/or rice
Cincinnati chili - with well cooked (over cooked) pasta
Red beans and rice - sometimes with mash.

Meatballs in tomato sauce with pasta.
African Chicken - cooked in tomato with spinach - and rice or pitta
Chickpea and Chorizo stew
Various dal dishes including Chana Dal - with rice or pitta or chapatti or nan.

What would the rest of you favour?

Jesus, sounds like you suffer from severe depression Cruimh.

French Onion soup is nice during the Winter time (use Gruyere, and some sherry).

Mind you if I had the choice between dining in a Michelin Star Restaurant or performing an act of cunnilingus on a beautiful consenting lady, it would be a tough tough choice!:p

I knew it. The rhubarb was eccentric but forgiveable... but shepherd's pie or sausage and mash with salad?

That is just evil.

You, Cruimh, are a wrong 'un and not to be trusted.
