Our lot are at it, and now the Brits are too.

Seriously, wtf does this nonsense mean?

What BS artist thought this up?

It makes no sense.

And this is the quality of OP that this place deserves, before anybody says anything!

"In a parliamentary democracy based on the Westminster system, confidence and supply are required for a government to hold power. A confidence and supply agreement is an agreement that a party or independent member of parliament will support the government in motions of confidence and appropriation (supply) votes by voting in favour or abstaining, while retaining the right to otherwise vote on conscience."

That second sentence would benefit from some punctuation...

She will have to get on with it nevertheless.
She has a duty to try and form a govt as the party with the largest seats, or if convinced she cannot/voted down in parliament, offer the opportunity to the next largest party. If they also fail, there is another election.

As of now no one expects this govt to last beyond autumn, whether or not they can muster enough votes to actually form one.

In politics, in layman's language it means "Keep me in the job and I'll do you favours that cost public money."

It makes no sense.
It does if you're a politician without principle who wants to stay in the job or get public money that otherwise you wouln't get.

And this is the quality of OP that this place deserves, before anybody says anything!
On a point of logic, if you put something in an OP then by definition it's "before anybody says anything." Except yourself, of course.
