Hardly the voice of reason is he when he was going to do an appearance for his mate launching his work of fiction on creationism...

Right Conor, Property bubble, bank guarantee, cronyism, the Galway Tent, signing blank cheques, dig outs, lumps of money lying around St Lukes, an unbelievable lucky streak on the horses, no bank account for a finance minister and charvet shirts. Sabotage....right....

Says the science minister who was about to launch a book which stated that the theory of evolution must be wrong because people don't like living in trees.

(Don't forget he didn't choose not to launch the book; the book's author withdrew the invite! And he still has yet to come out and say he believes evolution is correct.)

In a piece by Conor Lenihan TD in today's Evening Herald, the Junior Minister accuses Fine Gael of "national sabotage" for their decision to not allow ministers travel "to promote jobs, investment and trade".

Conor Lenihan: No other word for what Enda tried to do but sabotage - Opinion, Frontpage - Herald.ie
Lenihan is 100% correct.

I have been saying this for over a week in connection with leader of that party who has placed his vaulting ambition over the good of the Irish economy.

Its one thing to play inept politics at Dail pairing arrangements but a far more serious matter to rescind agreed pairings arranged for the national benefit.
To say nothing of the political flip flopping and estrangement of political allies.

FG will have to do a lot more to convince the Irish electorate that they can front up a viable alt govt.

The nexus of FG,s problem lie in a defunct and moribund leadership mired in civil war politics and intense personal political ambition.

Not a pretty sight.

12k p.a. in fees, 5k accomodation and at least another 5/6k in spending money - per student. Wouldn't turn my nose up at that!

You may be right about Fine Gael. I can't say myself. However, I believe it is high time that Dublin Zoo did the decent thing and make available 18 chimpanzees and orang utans to replace the present Cabinet, if only to instil some level of confidence in the bond market where we are under the cosh again today.

No. As it stands, all anyone has to do is convince the electorate they are not FF.

Ho hum.

Are things even worse than we thought when Government ministers are trying to blame the opposition for our plight, as a pathetically transparent distancing mechanism?

If it blows, it'll all have been Enda Kenny's fault?

Even by Conor's sad standards that's pretty weak.

heard a fascinating rumour recently which, if true, would explain why conor lenihan has gone off the deep end in spectacular fashion lately.

unfortunately it is completely unrepeatable on here.

Well really I must say that for CL it's lucky that in Ireland, a career in politic's is only possible for who you know, cause if it was on capability and sense, God know's what job he'd be doing.

It's heard to take such rubbish from a member of the Lenihan family, his father went to America to sabotage one of the Northern Ireland agreements. The whole Lenihan family stood by doing nothing when "the liver collection " for Brian Snr was disappearing!!
He is one to talk!
