... FF may have got incredibly lucky today on the back of these tragedies...
I wouldn't bet on it.

The first thing that crossed my mind when I read about these poor families is that what has happened may not be unrelated to the desperation felt by many unfortunate families throughout the country, with unemployment, personal debt, mortgage pressures, etc.

If the 4 in Limerick died 'violently' this may well not be a murder-suicide but a straight forward murder with another person(s) involved.

Why do we always have to hear from the local priest on these things?
Do they teach that in journo 101 or something?
Most people don't go to mass and I'd guess most people wouldn't have a clue who the local priest is not to mention ever meeting him or knowing him well enough to comment on the family in any way.
I'm not a church basher but if I met an untimely death I would not want someone I do not know commenting to the press.
