Seems that there's an ongoing Distributed Denial of Service attack in progress that's affecting Twitter, Spotify and Reddit.

It seems that a compay that provides domain name resolution services (DNS is what maps text like Politics.ie - The Irish Politics & Current Affairs Website to an IP address (think of it as a kind of online phone directory)) is being hit and that company provides DNS service to a lot of big clients.

I've seen DNS issues in last 30 mins on more obscure sites too. Also saw that shutterstock, houzz, wix were all down within the past while too

If it is hitting the Dynect DNS, there are 192,845 domain names and their possible websites affected. (01 October domain count.)
