This is delicious!! Can't wait.

Calling all Righties! We may have to go into the heart of skangerville but we've gotta support Leo against a roomful of Shinners and Stickies.

I agree and hope Leo gets a clear message across, but no need to refer to the location as skangerville in fairness.

I dont see the point of such a debate, Joe is of the looney left and would turn back the clock to the glory days of soviet communism given half a chance.
Completely irrelevant - apart from its entertainment value

Joe is dull and repetitive at this stage. He has no solutions to offer on anything. He's still stuck in a socialist time warp.Expect the usual nonsense about the "speculators". "Why should workers..bla bla".

You know me, I use hyperbole to emphasise tone in written comment. :)

Fantastic, 2 of my favourite politicians...

Mainly because as far as I can see, other than SF these are the only two politicians in the whole Country with an actual ideology as vastly differing as they are.

Come on the lion!

What is the solution to the crisis?

Joe Higgins Socialist Party MEP vs Leo Varadkar Fine Gael TD

When: Tuesday, 16 November @ 8PM

Where: Crown Plaza Hotel, Blanchardstown Centre, Dublin 15
Should be easy to wipe the floor with Varadkar. He's not very bright (typical blue shirt), and capitalism has collapsed, along with any justification it might ever have had.

Look around you comrade. Capitalism is alive and well. Communism is virtually gone. Only the shining lights of Cuba and North Korea left.

Joe Higgins must get the credit for seeing the way the banks were going. It took Brian Lenihan and his right wing friends to realize that nationalization was the way to go, He would have made better progress if he hired Joe instead of Alan Kelly 2 years ago.
