Dear leader for life has begun a titanic struggle with the imperialist oppressors...

Speaking to the Press Association, Mr Adams said he had instructed his solicitor to begin the process of appealing the convictions "following the recovery of a document from the National Archives in London".
It was discovered by the Pat Finucane Centre in October 2009.

Or perhaps he just wants to confirm his claim of nat ever being in what didn't go away...

''What is not open to debate is that Gerry Adams was a senior member of the IRA. Indeed, while he was interned he represented the IRA in discussions with the British Government. So his claims do not stand up to scrutiny."

"Asked if he believed the policy of internment was justified during the Troubles, Sir Jeffrey said: "Well we can debate whether internment was the right or wrong thing, but what is not open to debate is that Gerry Adams was a senior member of the IRA"

Wha? Does Sir Jeffrey believe that internment was wrong?

LOL - this is attention seeking.

He has previously trumpeted that he has instructed his solicitors .... and nothing has yet to come of these actions.
Meanwhile his adoring fans run about screaming with excitement - but when his solicitor gets the reply "see you in court" it is all quietly forgotten ...

He was full of BS back in 2014

Mr Adams has instructed solicitor Paul Tweed to issue proceedings against the newspaper group over an article that made certain assertions about his role in the criminal trial of his brother Liam Adams.

Then he was suing The Sunday World in 2015 ..... remember this ?

I'm sure there are ques of barristers itching to get Gerry on the witness stand .....

Remember how well he did when cross examined in 2013 by Ms McDermott QC at the first trial of his brother?

And if his memory was poor in 2013, what will it be like under pressure in 2018? ;)

If there is an election in the South can they take in Gerry to relive his experiences......

I may have to get myself locked up if Sinn Fein present Gerry for another election......

Moi?

As long as there have been people in power, there have been wiseacres mocking the people in power. Those Paleolithic French cave paintings of horses? It's a safe bet that at least one of them is an old-school political cartoon meaning "Tribal leader Jarry is a jackass."

This poor man who was never in the IRA has suffered gravely at the hands of the British enemy--he should be given a Royal pardon and to show suitable repentence it should be deliver to him by the Queen herself--to further show gratitude for his contribution to peace he should be offerred a Knighthood

If Jarry was never, ever, EVER in the 'RA, why did they send an outsider with no connection to them to negotiate on their behalf? Was he just there as Martin's BFF?

Because he was the President of Sinn Féin which was the IRA's political wing.

He may have not been in the IRA as they felt he would be better outside the military wing. I know of someone who the IRA refused to allow into the ranks as he had brothers in Prison.
