Does Micheál Martin still have questions to answer over O'Callaghan?

Just came across this surprisingly tough interview Micheal Martin got with TV3's Ireland AM crew during the 2011 General Election campaign:

So, Why Did That Money End Up In Your Wife’s Bank Account, Mr Martin? | Broadsheet.ie

So has Micheal ever actually given a proper account for the £6500 pounds he received from O'Callaghan which found its way to his wife's account?

In the above interview he said:
We showed the receipts – we didn’t have the full receipts, but we showed the receipts
And is his denial of ever meeting O'Callaghan with Bertie credible?

I never had a meeting with Bertie and Owen O’Callaghan
When it was put to him that the meeting was recorded in Bertie's ministerial diary he said:

But it wasn’t you see even the tribunal itself didn’t seem to be going into... I don’t want to be going into this because it’s based on the report..... didn’t seem to be too clear about it.... never any indication in advance that that was going to be raised.... I certainly didn’t…
His answer above is almost Bertiesque in its obfuscation.

FF are on the way back, it seems, under the leadership of MM, but will this come back to haunt him closer to an election when it will surely be dragged up again?

Why not! It is all part of the game of Politics.

FF's mini revival could bring some welcome focus onto Martin. Due to FF's virtual irrelevance for the last 2 years he has survived any criticism despite the fact that he sat at Cabinet for 99% of FF's 14 year term of office. That's a hell of a lot of skeletons waiting to fall out of a closet in Cork

In Ireland such allegations would probably help rather than hinder Fianna Fail, look when Bertie did his crocodile tears interview on RTE in September 2006, the following Irish Tines opinion poll FF went up 8% from 31 to 39%.

Don't think so.

FG's obsession with the rise of SF after last years election (when SF were routinely ahead of FF in opinion polls), gave FF an easy ride to start to rebuild from. Until FG realise that it's FF is their long term problem, that will continue

I'm sure FG recognise this and are possibly holding their fire until a little closer to an election.

I'd imagine there's all sorts of stuff waiting to be leaked about the previous government.

Only in the last pre election leaders debate live on RTE and only then if SF decide to make something up and even then he'd still bat Gerry over the head and put him back in his box.

In a word, no.
