Does President Trump Hate Muslims, and Jews?

We have all seen the accusations of Islamophobia labelled against President Trump after his campaign pledge to ban all Muslims from entering the US for an unspecified time, and after he introduced a temporary travel ban from seven Muslim-majority countries..

Now there are people claiming that as well as hating Muslims, he hates Jews, too. Bradley Burston of Haaretz being one:

Yes, Donald Trump IS an anti-Semite

The piece is behind a paywall, but this quote from it was published in The Forward:

A man who initiates, fuels, and fans anti-Semitism, a man who is in a direct position to combat it and does not, is, in my view, an anti-Semite
The same Jewish journalist wrote back in November that Trump's win was the greatest victory for anti-Semitism in America since 1941.

Tuesday's election marked a stunning victory for Donald Trump. And, in the background, something else as well. The election marked the greatest victory and validation for anti-Semitism in America since 1941.
We all saw it coming, those who supported Trump and those who opposed him. We knew it early on. And we couldn't stop it. Because Trump's own people – in particular his closest and most senior Jewish advisors, among them his son-in-law Jared Kushner – let it fester and grow, unfettered, unopposed, unacknowledged. Free.
There has been a rise in anti-Semitic incidents in the US since Trump's win too.

WAVE OF HATE: 100 ANTISEMITIC INCIDENTS REPORTED IN DAYS AFTER TRUMP ELECTION

And there's this:

ADL head rips Trump team over Holocaust statement that doesn’t mention Jews

The CEO of the Anti-Defamation League is criticizing a White House statement in remembrance of International Holocaust Memorial Day because the statement does not specifically mention that millions of Nazi victims were Jewish.

Jonathan Greenblatt tweeted on Friday that the statement was “puzzling and troubling” because it refers to “depravity and horror” inflicted on “innocent people” by the Nazis. The statement is likely intended to refer to Jewish people, who made up the vast majority of Holocaust victims. But Greenblatt took issue with the lack of an explicit mention.
Yet Trump seems to be very supportive of Israel..

Does he hate Muslims, and Jews?

Hardly anti semitic. Netanyahu constantly praises him. Only Democrats are making these accusations including the one who currently heads the Anne Frank Centre (who also was a staffer for Sens Schumer and Lautenberg).
A woman in NY been chargedgone on trial for making up stories of Islamophobic harrassment.

So whats going on? LBJ "let him deny it" politics which the Dems have been addicted to for 50 years. They are a nasty little party that has always drummed up division based on Identity.

I doubt that he hates either Muslims. Or Jews. Or Mexicans. Or gays, Or any group really.

But boy, does he love himself.

And he's liable to pander to any prejudice if it advances his lust for power.

His daughter is a Jew, since her marriage, and he seems really fond of his son-in-law. I doubt he hates Jews (perhaps not even Muslims) but he does seem to be supremely egoistical and narcissistic and is not going to do anything about antisemitism unless he thinks it would benefit himself.

'I Find That Offensive!' (Provocations) Hardcover – February 21, 2017
by Claire Fox (Author) - Amazon

When you hear that now ubiquitous phrase "I find that offensive," you know you're being told to shut up. Social discourse is now dominated by competitive offence-claiming. But how did we become so thin-skinned? This book blames three culprits: official multiculturalism's relativistic conflation of tolerance with positive "recognition," narcissistic identity politics, and finally therapeutic educational interventions such as anti-bullying campaigns.

Claire Fox is a British libertarian writer. She is the founder of the Institute of Ideas think tank and a broadcaster and social commentator, appearing regularly on BBC television and radio.

Have you ever known any Jews Billixed? They are great fun but totally neurotic and utterly paranoid (much more so than even Ulster folk). Of course he isn't anti-Semitic at all but they see a strong and powerful European Christian and a lot of them think "Cossack!"

Since Bannon feeds the bird brain with content You can assume that he believes in a bipolar world order, with a Judeo-Christian on one side and a Islamic in the other. Bannon likes to ascribe the Islamic group an innate desire to pursue a form of Islamic fascism.

Bannon believes that we are now at the beginning stages of a global war against Islamic fascism. World War III is coming soon according to Bannon.

Why do you think people are accusing him of hating Jews then?
1. On Jan 27 (Holocaust Memorial Day), the White House issued a statement marking the day, as per usual. But, this year there was no reference to Jews.

2. There's been an upsurge in anti-Jewish attacks in the USA recently but when Trump was asked about it during That Press Conference last week, he seemed to get quite annoyed, went on a rant about how he got lots of minority votes and made some sniping remarks about the guy who asked the question. He didn't - at that point - condemn the attacks.

These views of Bannon's seem to me to be in line with the rest of the Republican Party, bar maybe the likes of Rand Paul. Yet Bannon has been accused of being an anti-Semite too..
Christian Zionists actually freak out Jews because they feel that naturally redneck Prods in the Seppo versions of ballygobackwards should instinctively hate them, particularly if they are in Dixie, so all this blind adoration totally un-nerves them.

The attacks on Jewish places of worship have been going on for years including under the Obama admin. Radical Islamists largely to blame. Same problem in France and in some places the UK.

That's an interesting observation.
I haven't been to the US but I heard it from Sean Gabb who had heard it from Jews themselves over there. Luke Ford who is a youtube "personality" and a slightly nutty convert to Orthodox Rabbinic Judaism has also talked about it. On here do you ever ask yourself what roc_ and oscurito really think about lads like darkhorse?

Trying to define, and divide, the population of the USA in terms of religion doesn't work anymore. Trump is pro business and doesn't give a fig for any other interest group.
