Donald Trump has been accused of a making an “assassination threat” against rival Hillary Clinton, plunging his presidential campaign into a fresh crisis.

The volatile Republican nominee was speaking at a rally in Wilmington, North Carolina, about the next president’s power to appoint supreme court justices. “Hillary wants to abolish, essentially abolish, the second amendment,” said Trump, eliciting boos from the crowd.

“If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the second amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know. But I’ll tell you what, that will be a horrible day.”

The second amendment to the constitution protects the right of Americans to bear arms. Trump has accused his Democratic rival of wanting to abolish it, a charge that she denies.

His extraordinary remark on Tuesday was swiftly condemned by Democrats. Robby Mook, Clinton’s campaign manager, said: “This is simple – what Trump is saying is dangerous. A person seeking to be the president of the United States should not suggest violence in any way.”

My Comments:

1) Unbelievable

2) Every time he opens his mouth he shows more and more how unsuitable for president he is!

3) Unsurprisingly he getting lots of condemnation for it

Where does that quote even insinuate assassination?

The second amendment cites the need to allow people to defend their rights against an armed government.

He seems to have made a clumsy reference to to that.

I agree it is a wired thing to say, but once again the media are just making up ludicrous hit pieces.

he says it right here:

the second amendment allows people to have guns and he was suggesting that they could use them to assassinate her so she woudnt appoint judges which would vote against gun rights

Democrats Demand That Secret Service Investigate Trump For Assassination Threat Against Hillary Clinton

The Hill reports:

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) says Donald Trump’s controversial line about “Second Amendment people” qualifies as an assassination threat against Hillary Clinton. Other Democrats joined Murphy in condemning Trump’s remarks.

“This is simple – what Trump is saying is dangerous,” Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook said in a statement. “A person seeking to be President of the United States should not suggest violence in any way.”

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) called on the Secret Service to probe Trump over the statement. Trump’s campaign downplayed the comment in a response slamming the “dishonest media.”

“It’s called the power of unification – 2nd Amendment people have amazing spirit and are tremendously unified, which gives them great political power,” Jason Miller, a top Trump aide, said in a statement. “And this year, they will be voting in record numbers, and it won’t be for Hillary Clinton, it will be for Donald Trump.”

Perhaps predictably, the Trump campaign has responded to the outrage on social media over Trump’s remarks by attacking and blaming the “dishonest media.”

Said the campaign in a statement:

“It’s called the power of unification — 2nd Amendment people have amazing spirit and are tremendously unified, which gives them great political power. And this year, they will be voting in record numbers, and it wont be for Hillary Clinton, it will be for Donald Trump.”

Talk about scraping the barrel.

Hilldog the Democrats and their supporters are becoming desperate now as they see the polling numbers starting to go against them. (Notwithstanding the fact that polls have been a bit dodgy for a while :))

Can anyone actually point out where Trump stated; hell, even alluded! that she should be assassinated?

Absolute unadulterated nonsense of a non story. This won't stop the lefties trying to make it one though. After all, making up stuff to suit their narrative and holding a dubious interpretation of what constitutes the truth is their stock & trade.

See post 3 above for where he alluded to it

Also if such a barrel scrap then why are even people on fox news condemning it, why has a former NSA director condemned it?

As for the polls they constantly have Hillary up by a good margin so where the desperation from?

In your opinion, which obviously you share with some Clinton supporters.

Bear in mind too that not every republican has much time for Trump either.

That's the thing about opinions; they're like a$$holes as everyone has one.

This story is utter barrel scraping nonsense. End of.

He will gain some from people who were already leaning towards supporting him, but hes chased away lots of undecideds, according to 4 separate polls (one of which was by fox news) hes also loosing by double digits since the conventions (the latest released yesterday has Clinton leading by 10 points)

Trump is nasty & what he said was utterly wrong in any context.
If anyone thinks he should be elected president of any country never mind a nuclear superpower they need just reflect a little. Or in the case of the Stormfrontists a lot

It's a big stretch to call this an assassination threat. He meant the lobbying power of the gun lobby. I think the media are in danger of provoking sympathy for Trump by overstepping the mark particularly on the gun issue.

This is like when INM goes after SF. No exaggeration is too great.

No, Clinton supporters are hoping that this kind of nonsense will chase away undecideds.

Beyond the fact that some polls have had Trump ahead or the two of them neck & neck what did I say already about polls?.

There is something that you can do "folks".

You can be a donor to the Clinton Foundation. Then you get a decision/policy in your favour, "folks".

In the light of the Seth Rich murder just as he was about to inform the FBI about irregularities, in the DNC, the issue of eeaponry is relevant. Rich may have been the wikileaks source. In adfition there was the Guccifer "suicide". Trump should have handled this subject in a more intelligent manner.

Trump's English Grammar is terrible. Clinton 2.0 also has substandard Grammar. Both of them made it through American universities. Truly baffling.
