Wonderful news.

The establishment must realise that letting this guy off would be a step too far in the midst of all the scandals

Took our feckin' time though didn't we...

And God only knows how lenient the sentence will be... it'll be interesting to see how seriously a €7.2 billion confidence trick is regarded.

Can we sue the w@nker now... for all those debts we'll be paying off for decades?

They can't sentence him until 'the girl who does it is back from a confirmation'.

What sentence does such an offence carry?
Market abuse in most countries can result in massive fines plus prison sentences for those involved. Ireland? Golf with Neary.

It was the jury that decided anything at all here.

Are you aware of all of their backgrounds, or are you implying that they were got at?

Sigh

He may be guilty of reckless lending, unfortunately it's not a crime
Well he was CEO of a bank that was pulling an operation to present a ramped share-price and dodgy annual accounts, given the loan back-to-back arrangements.

True.

But by then Anglo had handed out Billions that could be never paid back.

Which was fully legal.

This will be sold by the establishment as the system working when in fact it only was ever a small section of the overall problem.

Ignominy. Forever the convicted banker.

We shouldn't lose sight of the fact that auditors and the CBI, and a board or boards were all aware of this. But we have a head on a pike.

Indeed, and at least he was found guilty in court of that

Good news all in all

It would have been most frustrating if he got away with everything

It galls me to see Seanie Fitz and Fingers Fingleton free.
