They require an ability to read and write so that would rule out a lot of Northside Dubs

what about the local brothers the Flanagans? perhaps this part of the reason our country people dont like them.
I heard the aren't liked by many of the rabble there, first off they are from Dublin, and they are honest, i think maybe they in the wrong game.

Is this the constituency where Amadan "let's not be having any more houses" oriordan is running?

Or is some other constituency to be honoured with his presence?
Unfortunately not however if Sinn Fein's vote holds up he shouldn't get back in. There is a left leaning socialist vote in Dublin Bay North and going back to when it was the two constituencies of Dublin North East and Dublin North Central but only one seat will go to Labour or Sinn Fein, they won't win a seat each.

Quota's per party for the adjusted boundaries for the Clontarf, Donaghmede and Artane Whitehall LEAs.

Artane-Whitehall (6 Seats):
Party: FF FG Lab GP SF OTH
LE09 1.3 1.6 2.3 0.0 1.5 0.4
GE11 0.8 1.7 2.5 0.1 1.0 0.9
LE14 1.0 0.8 0.8 0.2 2.3 2.0
GE16 1.1 0.9 0.3 0.1 1.3 3.3

Clontarf (6 seats):
Party: FF FG Lab GP SF OTH
LE09 1.4 2.1 1.2 0.2 0.3 1.8
GE11 0.9 2.8 1.5 0.1 0.3 1.4
LE14 1.7 1.3 0.7 0.3 0.7 2.3
GE16 1.3 1.8 0.8 0.2 0.4 2.5

Donaghede (5 seats):
Party: FF FG Lab GP SF OTH
LE09 1.3 0.9 2.1 0.0 1.0 0.6
GE11 0.7 1.5 2.4 0.1 0.7 0.6
LE14 1.1 0.9 0.6 0.2 1.6 1.6
GE16 0.8 0.9 0.3 0.1 0.9 3.1

FG must be completely insane to run three candidates in Donaghmede on those figures! Labour will be very lucky to return their two councillors, FF are stretching things with two in Artane-Whitehall and have very little chance of a second seat in Donaghmede. SF seem to going for a "what we have, we hold" strategy here - probably wise. Looks promising for the Indos and to a lesser extent minor parties, though not the Greens.

Dublin People - Transport issues discussed at Raheny meeting

"A LARGE crowd attended a meeting at Raheny GAA Club to hear concerns over transport issues affecting locals. The meeting, organised by Senator Catherine Noone (FG) and local election candidates Jeff Johnston (FG) and Maria Mulvany (FG)."

"Ms Mulvany, said: “As a cyclist myself, I understand the problems faced by people riding bikes every day. We must make our city bicycle friendly, as other European cities have done. The benefits of cycling range from physical and mental health to environmental health.” "

I'm not sure if I'd go with the cyclist angle if I were her, they are widely hated by motorists and pedestrians alike. Perhaps, her next meeting should be about getting cyclists to stop when there is a red light.
