It might be a bit early for this, but any bets on who will run? I'll hazard a few guesses:

FF - Darragh O'Brien TD
FF - Michael Kennedy TD
FG - James Reilly TD
Socialist Party - Cllr Claire Daly
Labour - Brendan Ryan (?)

They're very rough guesses. Beyond saying that FF will lose at least one, probably two seats I'm unsure.

Given Reilly's increased profile, I'd reckon a second seat for FG is worth a punt. FF to lose at least one seat. Beyond that it'll be hard to predict - an almighty scrap I'd say.

All of the above will run plus Sargent, and 2nd Fine Gael most likely Alan Farell. David O'Connor IND councillor may also run and I'm sure Sinn Fein will put name on ballot paper.

Reilly will win a seat but I don't think he will get as big a vote as some expect - Fine Gael vote has plateaued - he won't want big name along side him so someone like Farrell will probably be chosen as he not know outside Malahide and parts of Kinsealy.

Ryan will win a seat and probably top the poll - though again don't think he will repeat his brothers performance in 1992. They may stand a second candidate but a big ask to pull second seat with Daly strong on the left.

The other two seats are between O'Brien, Kennedy, Sargent and Daly - I think O'Brien and Daly are most likely to win out but as astounding as it might seem FF could well lose both seats meaning Sargent could hold on (unfortunately).
