The state needs to pursue them no matter where they go. I'm sure they've managed to move assets out of reach but at the very least we need to make their lives uncomfortable.

Did anyone ever believe guys like this would ever be held accountable?
I sure didn't.
Still it will be nice to not have to look at his smug puss looking at anyone who wasn't willing to kiss his arse as if they were something he scraped off his shoes.

His pushy gawdy manner will make him a pariah in that waspy community.
But I'm sure those who licked his arse spotless like Bertie and Harney and Mc Creevy will be frequent visitors in their retirement.

Never thought I'd say it- at least Fitzpatrick is sticking around to take his medicine (not that it'll be too much)

Failure is nothing to be ashamed of. Our bankruptcy laws are penal, virtually Old Testament. 12 years of penury is ridiculous. These guys didnt want the State to nationalise their losses. It should have gone to the creditos, market fire-sale of assets and bang, things start again. Instead, the govt force the debt onto the taxpayer and the economy dies a death of a thousand cuts. Lunacy. I'd do what they're doing and bugger off for two years, clear up and return. And if you're honest, you'd do the same.

Failure is not the problem It is the hiding away of assets is what I object to
When you say bang we start again .These guys will not start with a clean sheet but all the assets and cash they have managed to put out of the courts hence you find wifes who never worked outside of the family home are suddenly multi millionaires and canot be touched also the childern of these people are suddenly very wealthy as well
I aggree with you NAMA is a complete con job set up by the goverment to protect developers and is delaying the recovery of the property market by about 4 years.
