Direct Rule is imminent due to pure necessity and that is the end of the GFA.

SF and their supporters will have no one to blame but themselves.
FYI

"Good friday agreement :

" It was an agreement, between the British and Irish governments and most of the political parties in Northern Ireland, about how Northern Ireland should be governed."

So if SF refuse to participate in the institutions, you think that this situation will be allowed to continue indefinitely ?

Absolute nonsense.

Dream on nomad - the GFA is an international legally binding agreement logged with the United Nations.

All we need is 50 percent of the vote, plus one more Irish person, and you can kiss your motherland goodbye.

They sure as hell have been giving you locationally challenged Unionists trapped in Ireland the long kiss good bye for years - that for sure. Hahahahaha

Only, the DUP do not agree and voted against it.
Warmongers, longing for their pathetic orange statelet...

I think they are complaining that nationalist councils are well allowing employees to wear symbols that recall their fallen dead.

Councils in the sick counties should draw up a document for all elected members to sign and any breach of it should incur sanctions.

Simple statement...............Do you as an elected member of this council support the Irish peace process?

Concur TE.....btw where have all the Irish unionists and West Brits disappeared to?
Just maybe “some” previous west Brits are seeing these unionist crackpots in a new light ... I.e. starting to see what these loons are really like now that their BS has potential to affect them directly. Not too many of them will admit it though I’m sure

Absolute delusion from you DT. The GFA is the only show in town. SF have a mandate. Unionists will have to deal with it and implement the GFA and St Andrew's fully and align with the rUK and Ireland on SSM and abortion. Then Stormont will be back.

Direct Rule is imminent due to pure necessity and that is the end of the GFA.

Why on earth do you think the British government have refused to return to direct rule already?

You've got your head in the sand. The Brexit end-game is playing out and unionists need to begin to understand that if the UK crashes out with no deal, there will be a tricolour flying over Belfast city hall legally within ten years. You can threaten all the murder you want. We've been subjected to your threats of terrorism for over 100 years now. But numerically we are soon to become the majority in the Six Counties, and you will have to respect democracy..............................there is no other sensible choice.
You will of course have the option of emigrating to Britain. The least welcome to remain (UDA spivs etc.) will hopefully make that choice and be a burden to the UK taxpayers instead.

You didn't mind when republicans didn't respect democracy.

What's changed?

It would be interesting to see if there are any demographic breakdowns of all the Imperialists who left the Free State at the time of Partition.

We know quite a lot of the wealthy stayed around e.g. the Guinness/Iveagh family. Banking and Insurance were dominated by old Anglo-Irish Protestant families right up till the 90s. There are the likes of Henry Mountcharles and Shane Ross. So many who had "skin in the game" stuck around, eventually accomodated themselves to the new reality, and mostly did quite well for themselves.

It isn't really a well-known area of history but surely there must have been working-class Loyalists in the slums of Dublin and Cork, and in significant enough numbers? The Crown was, after all, a major source of employment. What happened to them after 1922....did they stay and adapt to the now-dominant nationalist narrative, did they flee to Mutha Ingerlun in significant numbers....

????

It was unionism who took the gun into the democratic process.
And denied democracy on this Island. Then had a protestant state created for protestant people , so unionism has no claim to democracy, only the denial of it.
