Don't think that Google expected it to get so far. They've been given a six week extension on the last charges and that was rumoured to involve a 3.6 billion Euro fine.

Yeah, someone at GOOG must've told the Commission no. Things appear to have escalated. Record fine inbound.

Someone wouldn't play ball, it seems. Opportunity for Barrosso to seek appointment to another board as a consultant?
If only the EU had a wetwork department to bump him off. :) Probably wouldn't do any good having that Maoist on the board. The EUnuchs are already spending the fine in their minds.
