Eirigi scumbags vandalizing Water Meters

Saw Lookleft shared this video from the so-called Socialist-Republican group a few hours ago - it speaks for itself (obvious but necessary disclaimer: if you're thinking of actually doing this - you would be well-served with a head examination). How much will this cost the taxpayer to fix? Can we charge Eirigi for any repair-work that needs to be carried out as a result of this?

How much will it cost the tax payer to install the meters in the first place compared to the cost (and later, future savings), that would be reaped by employing people to fix the leaks throughout our creaking water infrastructure. All the arguments put forward for this appalling tax have been completely demolished. The only reason for installing these meters is so that the water service can be privatised at a later date.

Thanks for sharing. Now, I don't endorse the politics of Eirígí but that there's a good, informational, DIY video.

Cost me 600 euro to have a water meter installed when i lived in France.

It`s just one of those costs you have to swallow if you want to live in a half decent society.

Oh and I would also say that the video doesn't show Eirígí "vandalising Water Meters" - as your thread title states.

Someone should email them to add a caption "No Water Meters were harmed in the making of this film."

 Sure thing, just drop off the bill at Louise Minihan's office, she'll sort it out in a jiffy.

In the interests of accuracy and fact, please ask the mod to correct the title of this thread. There is no meter shown in that video, there is a 'water meter ready' stopcock chamber but not meter. Therefore your claim that "Eirigi scumbags are vandalizing Water Meters" is untrue and without any basis in fact.

In the same way in which headlines in rags like the Mail and Indo have little or no relation to the facts of the articles they headline, your thread title has no connection to the reality of the video which you posted a link to.

True, but we do not live in a "half decent society" nor will the introduction of water charges and family home taxes improve the type of society we live in as the money raised will not be used to improve the lot of citizens.

Just heard about Irelands greatest entrepreneur scamming a 100 million of Anglo and that a company called Site Serve are 1/10 to get the contract for installing the meters.

The above is undecipherable for those with an IQ of ten or less.
I would advise all Blueshirts to take a sleeping pill and try to forget it,not that many of you will breach the IQ barrier.

Hmmm.

Never thought I would approve of anything those people did -- but..

High time for a campaign of civil disobedience - and this seems like a good start to me.

Maybe you were not decent enough for the half decent French.
