These are two different parties.. you speak as if they are one continuous interlinked entity . They are not.

Both Fianna Fail and Fine Gael have stronger links to the Sinn Fein of 1918

will it be like the 1916 commemorations ...where history was perverted, distorted and rewritten to suit FGs modern day narrative and to try and make the IPP and Redmond relevant at Endas behest ?

Probably

Will BBC on the Dodder (RTE) be very upset at the rejection of the British Empire?

Yep. However, spiritually, prov SF are closer to the crowd in 1918.

Easy knowing how RTE views things by this quote from one of its "articles"

"Ireland ended 1918 with a strengthened unionism and an emboldened republicanism. It was, the newspapers reveal, a country divided and with little clear sense of where it might be heading."

There's only one reply to BBC on the Dodder and its ilk: Fake News!

In other words, darlings, the morlocks are on us.

Really, it makes a dizzy sopping wet liberal internationalist like me want to put fire crackers through their letter boxes. :mad2:

And FF/FG/Lab are basically the Unionists and the IPP. No wonder some of them want to rejoin the Commonwealth.
