Enda the statesman. A Taoiseach we can be very proud of.

Enda Kenny, the man who said goodbye to the troika and who oversaw our unemployment rate falling from over 15% upon taking office to today's level of less than 7%. The latter being just two of Enda Kenny's many political achievements.

A man who is lauded abroad and who represented our country with distinction the past few days in America. If Enda had to of put a foot wrong at all abroad last week, he would have been utterly lambasted back here in Ireland. So credit where credit is due and well done Enda.

Also, if Enda ever decides to run for the Aras, there's no doubt that we as a country would be much better represented by Enda as president than some of the other potential candidates, such as, Bertie Ahern or Miriam O'Callaghan.

The usual suspects will flock to this thread to bring their usual head in the sand analysis. All the below links speak volumes though say more than they could ever say. There's no doubting whatsoever that Enda Kenny will go down as one of our finest Taoisigh of the modern era.

Enda has outlasted pretty much everybody. Will be exiting stage left himself very soon but very much still on his own terms. He won't be stepping down in disgrace either unlike alot of other Taoisigh of the modern era.

There's simply no particularly inspiring option currently... imo...

I'm close to beyond caring who the feck is Taoiseach these days...

So Enda might not be sodding off as soon as we might have thought...

Brexit and Trump and the EU and all the rest of it are more pressing issues... and they are...

*sigh*

Has the Laughing stock gone yet ?
At this satge I would actually rather Enda step down because I honestly think he has little left to prove at this stage.

Although, there is some sense in the argument for having him there for the very outset of the Brexit negotiations.

The phrase 'In spite of, not because of' springs to mind.

Incidentally, I couldn't help notice that you have a lot of independent.ie links.
Does the proprietor of that 'newspaper' have any connection to FG ?

He'll be off soon enough but I think there should be an election. I know it happens quite a bit but I'm not comfortable with the idea that somebody can become Taoiseach without first fighting an election as a potential Taoiseach.

What 'Brexit negotiations'?

Will Ireland be negotiating unilaterally?

We're all important. Even you, Field Marshal
Ah.
Now I know why you are important.

You are the person who decides who is important and who is not important.

LOL, when standards are as low as they are in FG, kenny looks like a genius.
Then again, FG are content with a documented and proven liar as taoiseach.

I watched the Body-Language and listened to the words, I don't believe Trump was fooled for one second. But quite prepared to play the game.
Comin' at ye babe. Hold your soap close and be prepared to be fondled roughly.
